Juliane Beck develops and produces projects and programs together with artists in collaborative structures like longterm artists’ projects, residency programs or festivals. Her focus is on interdisciplinary approaches in performing and media arts, experimental documentary practices and artistic projections of future societies.
After studies of cultural sciences and aesthetic practice at the University of Hildesheim she worked as a dramaturg and assistant in a number of music theatre pieces with Daniel Kötter & Hannes Seidl, including Falsche Arbeit, Falsche Freizeit, and Arbeit und Freizeit in Stuttgart and Berlin. Moreover, research and dramaturgy for the film installation participants and objectives – 8 takes on filming music, Humboldt Lab Berlin. Coordinator in a multi-part theatre project by Herbordt/Mohren for the productions Das Stück, Die Institution and Die Aufführung in Stuttgart and Berlin. During a one-year fellowship for art coordination at Akademie Schloss Solitude she organized and curated several interdisciplinary programs with resident fellows, including the project In Our Backyards in Leipzig and Stuttgart. Coordinator for Forecast, an international platform in cooperation with Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin. She recently started working for the residency program and platforms at PACT Zollverein in Essen.
